Concept art and 2D class
|
So far I´m doing alright with my full time extra course ”Concept Art” And even though it´s tight some times, I still manage to make the deadlines (even if it is with 3 minutes margin). This week I had to make concept art for a Japanese samurai named Oishi. We had to draw him in two different art styles. I drew him in a marvel sort of style to the left and a ”Adventure Time” style to the right. I have never experimented with different styles before so this was really good for me! Our 2D class is also about character design this week. There we have to draw a character in three different situations and clothing. The important thing is to draw the character so that the viewer still can tell that it is the same one in all three pictures. I decided to go with something I could create funny situations with, so I choose a vampire. In my first picture she is going to have rough hair and a grumpy face because she is having a hard time grooming without a reflection in the mirror. This is what I have got so far. I experimented with her body type and the arms might be a bit too long, but I wanted to try it out to enhance the droopy, tired and irritated look of the vampire girl. |
