Hmm so about the whole; user stories vs. backlog part. First of all, I 100% get why you did what you did. I did the same thing. Marcus asked us to fill out the backlog, but never explained the connection to the user stories, so we filled out the bloody thing. Here’s the sitch tho. From what I can gather, we were supposed to make User Stories, break them down into features, put those in the backlog and once the features had been prioritized and the time had come to actually make the feature, THEN you break that feature down into actual tasks that can be worked on for that sprint. Or at least I think that’s how it’s done. God this has been confusing. As a fellow design designer I can tell you that you are not the product owner. We may be Lead designers, but we are still part of the working team. I know, it’s a stupid system. But that is what Adam has told us, so I’m not sure where you got the idea from? Anyway, back to analyzing. The penmanship is really good (I got so into it I stopped analyzing and started arguing after all ;P), I’m not sure how relevant it is to the school, but I can clearly see how relevant this revelation has been to you. So I like it. Keep fighting brother! Our time as designers will come. Sooner or later. // Maya |
