General Ship Design by Emma

Hej! You explained your design process very well. When I read your post, I could almost follow everything you were saying as if I were the one designing your ship. You clearly said what was done, how and why.
Also, this post made me think about my very own choices in my designs. When I was reading I kept going back to my own design process, trying to figure out if I was going through what you just described, and figuring out if my choices were in fact made because of similar reasons or something completely different.
One thing that could improve your post is adding your aesthetic goal for the game, for example from what I read I could tell you were creating a fast ship that flies and needs to be kind of heavy, but maybe if your aesthetic goal was mentioned, then I could have a clearer picture of what you were looking for and understand better your train of thought.

– Loved the color palette and the ship, good job!-

Animations animations by Shifat

Hello Shifat!

I liked the way you describe your animation process. The beginning of your comment grabbed my attention right away, and I understood what you felt that day at Leo’s class, although in my personal thoughts, it was more of a “who has the time to draw so many frames?” rather than creativity.
Anyway, I could picture perfectly what you did with your bat and the puppet tool, you described it very good and in a very nice step by step.
Thanks to your post and how the puppet tool helped you, I might try to use it myself for my next animations! I felt inspired 🙂
There is one thing I would improve in your post though. I would’ve added a bit more of pictures showing exactly what you did, you know like a picture of the bat with the points where you made it not move and all that. Also, maybe a bit more of detail in how much time it took you in both of your animations, to compare the two processes.

Good work!

Scrum and Sirens by Samantha

Hello Sam!

I think you did a great job with your blog post! The fact that you divided it into sections makes it easy to follow and understand. I also liked that you say what Scrum’s objective is and what you personally think it does and how it affects you. It makes me think of what we have in common and what we don’t when it comes to Agile.

The only thing I would have loved to read more about is “adapting to change”, I find it very interesting. I feel like you could’ve added more details on how you overcame the changes with the feedback and maybe having to change your vision and so on.

Finally, I would like to tell you that you are not the only one feeling like stand up meetings are sometimes a waste of time. I agree with this. Going to university takes me around 15 minutes, to only be there for less time than what I walk is very tedious. Personally I don’t find them very helpful, however a solution for me would be to just work at university with my team, then we can have the meeting right there. But still, schedules are hard to work out, like you said.

Anyway, good work!
ps.: I also love the fish picture
