Back to school

So during the Thursday I worked on making the lined up spells in Harakat mode all fire in proper order. In the end i made them all fire but i think they appear in the reverse order of input. Oh well, it works at least, just need to reverse the loop which fires the spells.

We have re-assessed our priorities since the alpha feedback and Harakat mode have not come out of top. For now we are focusing on the core combat and making sure it feels fluid. In order to do this we have split up the major tasks, i will be working on the GUI in order to give the player direct feedback on what input the sticks are giving and what spells are being cast. Meanwhile, another programmer will be working on creating the functionality for some more spells, when he is done he will pass on the results to me for use in gameplay tweaking while he moves on to tweak the player animations. If i finish the GUI before him, I will help him with spells until they work properly (enough).

The GUI i made today consists of two circles on the left and right side of the screen which has a small hand inside. The hand moves around within the circle depending on the position of the corresponding stick. Creating this was pretty simple but as i have never done anything like that before it took a bit longer than it would have if i had more experience. I noticed that playing the game and casting spells felt easier with the new GUI as it provided constant feedback and prevented the issue where the inputs became crooked when not holding the controller perfectly horizontal.
