Comment Week #6

Comment on „Postmortem“, a blog entry published by Merve Metinkol

Hi Merve!

So sorry for the late comment, seems like my previous comment got kinda lost. Nonetheless, thank you very much for your unique insight and this well-rounded blog entry. You talk about your experience from the perspective from an artist, but also mention and elaborate about scrum, playtesting and issues that occurred by losing a team member. In that sense, it is a great summary of what has happened during the last ten weeks and you structured your post super well accordingly, making it easy for me as a reader to follow along your thoughts, which I can appreciate.

However, I would have enjoyed some more thoughts on whether you are satisfied or proud with your work (and with the work of your group). Is there something you would have done differently from a retrospective? Are you happy with how much you were able to “leveled-up” during the project? I might argue that it would have also been nice to see some footage or screenshots of your final game, especially since you included a sprite of an enemy that you guys were sadly not able to implement – It made me very interested in how the final version of the game looks like and I am definitely “hungry for more”. Nonetheless, these are just some thoughts on how to slightly improve an already well-written blog post.

Thanks again for sharing and best of luck for your future project!

//Alex
