I liked your blog post, everything was clearly explained and easy to follow. Your explanation of what Scrum is and why it is useful seems spot on.
As for how Scrum has affected your own groups development, I felt like it could have been a bit more detailed. You say that you’ve used Scrums fast development cycle, but you don’t mention the result of this. Was the fast cycle positive or negative? You say that you have been able to improve the initially poor communication within the group, but you don’t mention if this was due to working with Scrum or not.
Now these things are just nit-picking, since I did enjoy your post. You do also say that Scrum has been a positive thing for you group, and for you personally the biggest reason is the increased motivation you get from being able to pick your own tasks. This to me adequately explains how Scrum has affected your development.
