A day where i’m not dead tired in the end. Feels good. Today started off with the same issue we had yesterday popping up again where the moving platform class’ child would not open due to not having a parent class. The reference within the blueprint referenced the parent to the wrong path somehow. our solution to this was removing the child object entirely and putting it’s functionality in the main moving platform blueprint. After this the blueprint works great again. On the afternoon we worked on the presentation about price points which took the better part of the day but before leaving i managed to implement a change in the player jump input in order to let the player jump higher by holding the jump button longer. While working on that i also reduced the base jump height. I found it hard to find a nice balance between not having the basic jump feel useless and make sure the held jump didn’t feel too much like straight out hovering. Perhaps i’ll reduce the base jump a bit more tomorrow depending a little on what kind of feedback i get from the group. |
