Working from a distance

I’m visiting my parents home in Värmland (located to the far east of the ancient Sweden) but rest assure I’m researching shmups during my stay. And don’t worry, I’ll be back by Sunday I started with Sine Mora, a modern side scrolling shooter where you take control of an airplane with the ability of bending time. The whole time bending doctor who whatnot made me shrug at the game ’cause to me shmups is about reflexes and precise movement. So I went further to another ”new” title, Jamestown. A top down bullet hell-kinda game and this one really caught my attention because the art style and the bullet hell gameplay however the mechanics between enemy bullets and the player seemed a bit of. The bullets just doesn’t seem to damage anything other than on my hp bar in the top left corner. And now to something completely different. So imagine a shmup where you play as a needle going through fabric and each course is about complete one piece of clothing. As enemies and obstacles i’m thinking moths and sews as obstacles. one dynamic of this game could be that your needle is able to go underneath the fabric (see awesome pic beneath)
But I feel as this isn’t quite enough for a full game however wouldn’t it be cool if for instance a spaceship could leap in dark matter or or a tank that could dig underneath ground? |
