Visual update on how my baptismal font finally turned out
So this is how I made the new version of the baptismal font. I decided to go all out on the skyrim theme and modified reality, so I painted my own relief on the font using the same style as those on the original font from the museum. I also decided to change the material from the light chalk stone to a darker shade stone, Because I felt that I could […]

Photogrammetry and face topology
During the last leg of the 3D computer graphics course, we students got to look at photogrammetry as a different way of going about creating your 3D models. Photogrammetry is a process whereby you use photos of real objects taken from several different angles and later import them into a software like “123 catch” that it puts all the pieces together and creates you a 3D model of your photographed object. This method of creating 3D models is by no […]

Gender: Female, but like other young Terragrottians she has an androgyne appearance.
Etnicity: Terragrottian, a humanoid dog/cat race living underground.
Age: 19 years, and a Terragrottian’s life span is very similar to that of a human.
Physical health/attributes/handicaps: Vinda is very physically fit, […]

Assignment 3: Model Optimisation
This turned out to be a very late update. This is the final version of the character based on the concept art and WIP.
Onwards to UV mapping!
Björn Erik Berndtsson. Graphics and Game Design.

3D-I Assignment 3; Part 2
A few weeks have passed and it’s time for another update on the current character modeling assignment. Since it’s been a while since the last update, I’ve done quite a lot. So here’s a summary.
As I find the head and face the most important and noteworthy about this model, this is where I started. The rest was so simplistic that I felt that could come later on. The way I like to model faces is that I start by […]

Week 8 3D1
This week’s post will focus on “photogrammetry” or the use of scanning objects using photos and turning it in to 3D objects. During class this week we were given the assignment to create a 3D mesh on top of a facial scan, the idea was to use a scan of our own faces. However the scan of my face was somewhat incomplete and lacked sufficient coverage for me to be able to patch together a model. I wish now that […]

Why Are Developers Suffering?
EDIT 1:You know when you write a rant, explaining everything that’s wrong with the world and forget the fucking question you tried to answer?
This is the only thing I kept.
”Are we suffering because everybody else is ? Are we meant to work ourselves to death so our children can run amok with the money we left behind ?”
EDIT 2: I just did it again….
I’ll put this quote in because I enjoyed it, a bit of side tracking.
”You are basically writing […]
