Character background
This week we were given a bit different, we are to design a character, give her background and game world. We will model these characters further on in the course. This is my character:
Strauss:
Strauss was never given a name through traditional means, but picked the name himself when he started working with alchemy in the great city. He named himself after a great pioneer in alchemical studies.
Strauss is a gnome, thus his Intelligence is far superior to most humans. […]

This week we were given the task to create a character, draw turnarounds, write background information, and other details about both the character and the world it lives in.
I love making character backgrounds so I found this to be very enjoyable.
First I thought about doing some cartoony version of Vito Corleone from The Godfather, but changed my mind and went in a completely different direction.

Here’s a little update on the progress of Assignment II. I think I have missed one of these, but I hope that’s okay anyway.
The model as seen in UDK.
As you can see I have managed to get the model finished and applied a diffuse, a specular and a normal map to it.
Although there are a few things that I still want to fix on the diffuse, and subsequent specular and normal maps, I am starting to feel that it […]
