Very interesting post! I like how it is turned around your thoughts and feelings concerning how you experienced this course. It gives the reader your very personal point of view on that matter and it is always interesting to compare how different people approached the production of their first game (for the most part!).
I feel like you have really well answered the question for this blog post: “what’s the end result and what have you learned?”, because of […]

Hello Anton!
Thank you for a great read!
Your post is very well structured, your use of headings and subheadings make it very easy to follow your train of thought.
You have clearly described both what you have done throughout the project as well as why you have done it.
Having read through it all several times I am left wondering if it was a conscious decision not to work in the same physical workplace or if it just became a habit, also, did […]

Here is a third comment, as i can’t find any blog posts from my fellow designer in your team.
Now, I’m not sure what i could add here that hasn’t been said already. Your post is very well written and fleshed out, a fitting summary of you and your teams struggles during the course of the project.
There is a lot to take away and learn from in your post, understanding how you and your team dealt with what could be considered […]

Week 6 – Comment

Group I, Merve Metinkol
It’s nice to hear that you were excited to show of the work you have done, that means you have worked hard and are proud to show it off.
And the most important part that you have learned things is clearly described in the text, both as an artist and as a team member. I would have liked an example that was digging a bit deeper on what you have learned. For example, what did you specifically learn […]

Gathering relevant feedback is tough for sure, especially with how unpredictable the testers can be. I think you put good focus on this complemented by your tips on how to improve the quality of the feedback. It is a shame that your post has bad sentence structure (some sentences are way to long) coupled with a few spelling errors, as it made the post confusing to read at some points. Also the pictures of spreadsheets are impossible to make out […]

Alright let me start of by saying that this was a pretty good read, it is very clear that this is about making a tutorial. And a decent explanation of how (although i would like some more details personally, and some descriptions for the pictures). Why is also very clear with the explanation of how tester feedback prompted the making of the tutorial. Is the post valuable overall? sure! since tutorials tend to be a part of most games (I […]

Alright this was a pretty good post, you make it clear on what the post is about (boss design). The explanation on how you planned and carried out your design process was great. And lastly you give a clear case for why the design of the boss is so important with a challenge for the player in mind and all that. So overall it’s a great and interesting read. However, I can’t help but wonder if you might have missed […]

Is it clear what is done? Yes, you have clearly conveyed that you had a play-testing session where your gathered feedback. Is it clear how? To a lesser degree yes, the circumstances regarding how the play-testing was carried out is explained. Is it clear why? Yes, to gather feedback but perhaps not motivated very well, you could go into more detail on this. Is the post valuable? in my opinion not exactly, but that might just be because i value […]

What: I get that you are trying to put focus on the user stories.
How: you make it clear that you broke down the user stories onto a page of ideas and used them to plan your sprints.
Why: you wrote that the user stories made it for your team to understand the coming tasks but It’s hard for me to see how as you don’t go into any further details to motivate how it has actually been useful.
The post is valuable […]

Comment made on Juste Eriksson’s blog post “The game, the good, the bad, the cool, the nice, the lessons learned, the post mortem”
https://justeerikssonblog.wordpress.com/2018/03/20/79/comment-page-1/#comment-15
Very good post. The quick description you give of the game is clear but not excessively detailed, it helps the reader picture what the game looks like without disrupting the flow of the text. You also manage to clearly describe what you’ve learned and the circumstances regarding why said thing stood out to you (Such as […]

Hej Clement!
You provided a very informative and structured blog post describing the game you created, design decisions behind it and obstacles you came across. I also really like that you provided an introduction describing the game concept itself and a small conclusion. This creates a great framework for the reader to follow.I especially enjoyed that you showed a table with the initial Aesthetics described in the concept, to show which of these goals you achieved […]

Grand Comment Blog

So this will be one long blog with all of my comments on other students blog posts.
Enjoy! orwhatever

Your blog gives very good insight into the design aspect of your game. The design decisions your team took and why they took them is mostly explained. Since the post focuses mostly on the decisions you made as a group it would however be interesting to read a bit about how you reached these decisions. The ideas behind your […]
