I’ll begin with that I’m sick with fever today but the progress on the went a bit further thanks to my co-worker. We decided that we needed a entity class because we want to add a background, and we want to make sure that the player doesn’t collide with the player.

And thus it begins. Day 2 programming assingment 2013-12-14

Yesterday we decided upon on doing a space shooter for our project, and we started with coding the engine part, draw manager and we also began to work on the sprite handler. I am using earlier projects as a guideline and even though many of the lines of code is exactly alike, all the code has been re-written by hand again.

Programming assignment. We got the requirements for the assignment today. We are supposed to clone an old game in SDL using c++. By the end of this weekend I think it would be reasonable to have a working window and a moving player character on screen.

Today we had the weekly check-up on the programming course to see if we had done all the assignments and unfortunately hadn’t done one of the assignments because it was added mid-lecture so I guess I was too focused on my own code to realize there was a new assignment to do. Let the programming commence!

Started the programming course this Monday. We started with some basic loops and initiations and lastly we made a guessing game where the user guessed a number (1-100) and the game would give you feedback on how close you were to the the correct number. 
I have to say, I wished we would’ve started the course earlier, this is probably the most intellectual fun I’ve had in months!

Making progress

Had a really productive day as a group today, been working for nearly seven hours and all of the members have been pulling their weight to finish the project. Everything is written down, most of the art is done even the PowerPoint is done. It’s just a matter of filling it with content; which we got! Spent most of my afternoon writing a flow scheme over the player’s interactions with the game. And here it is: *Drum-roll*

I started to play and ended up finishing Bioshock: Infinite yester day. We got teh assignment to play the game the analyze the story and determ if it was a three act story or a nine act story. To me it was clear that it was a nine act story because it follows the principles of the nine act story almost religiously (hint to the game intended)
