Holiday Drawings and back on the Isle!

I had this drawing spree during my winter vacation. Animals, environtment and first try with anime fanart after watching the fantastic series SAO – Sword Art Online.
Experimenting with different colors is what I enjoy the most at this moment. I also tried out a new technique using only the lasso tool while creating the mountains on the Mountain climber painting. The process turned out to be much faster and more efficient than having to draw them by hand like I usually do. I also got my two assignments done, my Trublin Fizzlefink finally got his values and the hunter got his rifle, kilt and hat.

And last but not least I pictured a blue black horse in my head and wanted to get it down on paper. This resulted in me drawing a horsie again. It has been way too long time ago since I last did and I am happy I had time for it.

This week my three new courses started. Game Design second part, 2D Graphics II and Concept Art. This means I will be studying 200% these weeks so I will most likely be very busy :)!

Anyways, let us not get stuck by the fact that my life will be pretty stressful the following weeks…

Today in Game Design class we got to decide what concept we would like to pick for the Space Shooter game creation project. We decided we would like to try

                                                     ~ Heartbeat Bat ~

a 2D sidescrolling video game where you play a bat with a special weak heart it has to keep powered up. In order to keep the heart beating the player has to find batteries throughout the level that will charge the bats heart. There are some mechanics we decided to change in our team and we only had our first meeting today so we still have plenty of time coming up with some new ideas. Until then – to be continued! –
