Old projects

So, last year I started studying game development at Blekinge Tekniska Högskola (BTH) but I dropped out after a few months because I didn’t particularly like it there. I like it a lot better here. However, we did do some cool stuff. We had a one week crash course in Gamemaker, and at the end of the week we had about one and a half day to make our own game. The game I made is called Up is down and you can download it and try it out here. It’s an .exe file so it should work. If it doesn’t, try renaming the file so it ends with .exe and that should fix it. You navigate the menu screen with the up and down arrows and select with enter. The rest you’ll have to figure out on your own. A while after that we had a one week project where we worked in pairs to make a game. The girl I worked with did the programming and I did the artwork, and the theme we had was force of nature. Our game is called Through the forest and you can download it here. The same controls as the other one applies. Right at the beginning of the year we also made a board game in groups of five during a week. My group made a children’s game called GRÄV (”DIG”) where you play as either a mole, a mouse, a bunny or a badger. Your goal is to collect as much treasure as possible by exploring caves. Everyone who played it seemed to like it. I might upload all of the board pieces and cards later so that anyone who wants to can try it out. |
