Paper prototype feedback and more
|
So, in the last week we receieved feedback on our paper prototype. Our prototype wasn’t really up to par, but it seemed that our general idea about the game came through regardless, we also received a lot of really good feedback on things that we could include or improve on the concept, which was great! I am feeling we are on the right track so far, still, there is always room for improvement ofcourse, nothing will ever be perfect. So, now… To our game idea. Basically the gameplay of our game Mole Munch. Is… The player will be controlling a mole whose goal is to eat all the plants in a garden in an suburbian area, whereas you will have to avoid the gardener. The features of the game, in short. Gathering: Collect crops in order to gain score and win the level to progress to the next, different kind of crops will grant you higher or lower score. Stealth: Avoid detection by the gardener else you will lose. (Extra lives and methods to distract the gardener is available to the player.) Power-ups: When gathering you have a chance to randomly stumble upon a number of different kinds of vegetables that might grant you beneficial abilities to help you in your quest to gather all the crops. Throwing: The mole has a ability to distract the gardener in order to avoid being detected, but by distracting the gardener you are throwing the crops you currently have in your possession, thus throwing away possible score. We are currently iterating a lot on the concept as a whole considering the great feedback we received during our prototype reveal, also a one-page design is in the works. The first version of our one-page design is quite inefficient but here it is anways: Take in mind, a lot is subject to heavy change. |
