3D – Week 5 – Assignment 2 update
|
Here we go, finally an update on Assignment 2. I feel that I’m about a week behind schedule, but I’m trying and working as hard as I can to catch up again. This will be a short update, just to show you how far I’ve come. As mentioned in one of my last blogposts, I’ve been stupidly busy lately with many different assignments at once. For this assignment (Assignment 2 in the 3D1 course) we were tasked with modelling real-life objects that we photographed at the museum a couple of weeks back. I’ve been modelling a medieval collection plate that you can see in my other post here.
Something that I’ve come to realize is that I’ve created the model backwards, so that the “back” of the model is turned to the “front” in the program and vice versa. When I’ve connected all of the parts and finished optimizing the model I’ll probably turn it around. I also seem to have made the model at a very small scale, and will perhaps see if I can scale it up a little.
