Slightly Coded – Potbellied King – Dev. Post 4

WELL! Last post I said that I would post the very next day about what I’d done but… I kind of forgot. So I’m posting today instead, hopefully this won’t be a thing that happens far too often.

So we had another Quality Time with Marcus yesterday and it went alot better than the last one (that’s not saying alot though since last time was rather abyssmal) we had far more to show and most of the group members were there for the meeting which hasn’t happened in quite some time.

After Quality Time we started working on our individual things I worked on trying to get the Screenshot function to work but for something that seems to be so simple on the surface it’s proving surprisingly challenging to actually work on. I did make some progress though, after about two hours of researching I found out that I could do what I wanted with just 3 rows of code as opposed to about 35. I wasn’t very happy over it, especially when I just got a blank screen by screenshotting. Again, I wish I could give examples but copying stuff out of unity turns everything into gibberish symbols and I haven’t had the time to look into the problem.

Regardless I’ll probably work with something else today, like implementing the HUD and randomizing what food is thrown because while being able to take a screenshot of the player would be good for the final product it’s not exactly top-priority for the alpha. If I get finished with those things I guess I’ll help out David with adding shadows to the scene.

Either way, I have to go off to school now, I’m already late and probably should’ve written this post earlier instead of listening to Okami music but that’s priorities for you.
