A fun thing about working in a small team is that you’re able to be a part of the whole process in making a game. Some of our artists have their hands full with their respective responsibilities, but I personally are doing a lot of work here and there. I’m mostly doing textures, both for props that the others have modelled and textures for the level itself, but I’m also doing some 3D modelling myself, with UV mapping and texturing included. I’m also the one putting the graphical assets in the engine, creating materials and making prefabs of the props and committing them to the server. I really enjoy doing all sorts of things, and it might even be good to have someone who is able to pitch in if something suddenly needs to be done quickly.
Two of the robots, viva made the models and I made the textures. They will probably go through a few iterations. Today I’ve done a lava texture for the level, and will probably continue to do more textures for props and create new meshes for the walkway railing, and start setting out the lightning in the level. |
