Today was a good day.

Now that we’re through the alpha(to the surprise of some) and Olvier(and Leonard) have returned to active work we were able to get a good day’s work today. In the morning we had ourselves a look at the deadlines on the Backlog in the scrum document. there was some adjustment but we should be able to get a lot of stuff done before the pre-Beta on May 6(Thursday next week!).

After the morning meeting us programmers was able to work almost undisturbed in the Game Room for almost 6 hours. This are going a lot smoother when you have someone to ask right next to you instead of getting stuck on a problem for half an hour and up.

My work today included adding some new Enum Objecttypes to make it possible to draw out pickup items when drawing the level. I also added a weapon object to the game that the player can pick up. However, the sprite is a placeholder and the item does not remove itself when picked up. I will work on that tomorrow. I also modified the previously almost static HUD so that it now registers whether the player has picked up a weapon, a keycard and the mission objective.

All in all it was a good day, I might go to school earlier tomorrow so to not have to stay as long into the evening.
