Production and re-do.

We have started our first sprint and are now in production, this Monday we set up our sprint planning and started writing on our individual parts of the code. I remade the Hiding prototype and then went on to work with player movement for our alpha. I really should start writing each day because i can barley remember the lectures we had since this Monday. I feel like days are starting to float together. We missed our meeting with our programming supervisor Tuesday sine we all forgot about it; so we’ll make sure to remember it next week. During the Tuesday Tommi introduced us to Git so we would be able to keep our codes synched, something that will be really useful since with it we’ll all be work on the “same” Visual studio project. Last night Oliver took each of our code and put them together to be somewhat working and today i added an input handler to it. It was pretty much the same handler from the SDL project with a few modifications and i also worked on re-adding player movement since it would be better if movement were handled by the player object rather than the game loop. While i didn’t quite get movement in i did manage to draw the player on screen, so a minor piece of progress at least.

Also we got negative results from our programming project and we’ll have to turn in the game again, I also failed my report and will have to re-do it. For the game it turned out that were WERE supposed to use Visual Studio 2012 and not 2013.(I knew it!) so the game wouldn’t compile when the teachers opened it in 2012. Hopefully this conversion won’t be too much of a problem. For the report it turned out that i hadn’t written it academic enough and also that it missed a clear list of the things I’ve done in the project, I’ll see if i can get that done by the end of this weekend.
