Hello everyone!
I am in team Bugbear and we are were creating the game Umibozu! This post is a bit late, because I was away with my family on a trip to Caribbean.
But anyway, as the designer I was in charge of documenting everything we discussed and if we came to mutual conclusion about something. To see what we had to improve after playtesting, and to make a Design document for our project.
I was very bad at this in the start, and I still have a lot to improve on this subject.
But I started to write down more and more after each meeting, started making key notes and wrote down decisions we made.
I have a great team, so my manager was pretty good a documenting what we did and what we talked about. So I never took that role upon myself because of that.
But later in our project I started to take more responsibility and do what I was suppose to do.
The reason why I made a design document for our project was in case something happened to someone in the group, if someone dropped out and we needed a new member to our group. They need to catch up where we are and what we are doing and why we have the features we decided on.
It is also great for the group itself to have documentation of what we have done so far. And not just what it said on the scrum sheet, its way easier to see where we are in the project when you have all information on one document.

And I realized i prefered to stay next to our game on the later playtestings days, because I could see what the testers struggled most with and document that to see what we had to change and what was most important to change.
But walking around and testing other groups game was also important for me.
I was walking around to see how other people did, and how they solved issues we also had. So making notes about others game also helped my team to improve our own.
Sadly, it took me a while to realize how important documenting is for a project, and hopeful I will do a better job on the next project. Like I said, I still have a lot of improvements to do in this area, but atleast now I know that this is something I need to get better at.
