Comment on blog 4 – Ana Laura
|
Hi Ana Laura Until now, I have only commented on blog posts written by someone with the same minor as myself (design that is), so this feels refreshing. First of all – the squirrel is very cute and watching all the pictures in a row is like reading a little story. I know a bit about the basics about animations due to earlier experience, but I have not done much of it myself. This blog surely is a reminder of how much hard work is needed to get even the shortest animation working smoothly and good looking. You have made so many frames of this little squirrel for such a short animation! I enjoy reading your post since it is well written, easy to understand for everybody regardless the experience in animation. It is nice that you share all these pictures. It adds a lot to the understanding of how much work you as an artist put into an animation and that is valuable for me as a designer. I will always need to take this into consideration when designing a game. I also appreciate reading about how you used the 12 principles of animations – when I can see some of the principles being used in a practical example, it is easier for me to understand the value of them. Suggestions for improvements? No, not this time, I think this you did a great job. /Anna Malkan Nelson, Kraken.
