Oh boy, the blog neglect is off the charts!

Oh hello dear blog!

It turns out this blog have suffered from a severe case of neglect, I think maybe it is about time to change that, at least for a little bit.

So, to summarize what have happened since the last blog post.

We have attended our first year of GGC (Gotland Game Conference)

We created the game Colors of the wind, and we won Almedalen award! Which means that our game is being on display for all to see and play in the Almedalen library here in Visby! For a full year even!

Really happy about that, especially considering we were in development hell for pretty much the entire project. Personally, I believe the only reason we won the Almedalen award was for its accessibility for people of all ages to be able to play it. It comes close to a high-score game typically seen on smartphones with the twist that the player itself gets to spring a city back to life by reviving vegetation, restoring the color of the world back to its former glory.

Returning from the summer vacation I studied 200% because I really, really wanted to learn how to sculpt in 3D (Zbrush), it was, hell, so to speak, but, I managed and in the end, I also gained the skill of being able to resist “stress-collapse” on a totally different level.

The other courses aside from the sculpting course was Advanced Game Design and 3D Computer graphics: theory and application I. Those I will cover in the next blog post which will be up soon (I promise).

Best regards
