Another year another project

This post is long overdue and should have been done several weeks ago, but what i’m gonna talk about is the coming projects that i will be working on.

First of me and the guys that have been working on Naar before summer will continue on the project to make a better demo version where we will implement the story into it to give you a taste of what is to come after when we make the whole game. Right now we are working on creating a webpage for the game, it’s under construction but hopefully we will have it up and running soon.

But what am I doing? Right now I’m working on a new character for the game and story that our concept artists and lead game designer have made and given me to make a 3D version of it. Sadly i cant show you anything right now of the character as i don’t know how much i can reveal at this point, but in a future post i will talk more about him.

So what we are focusing on right now for Naar is to make a kind of cinematic trailer. It will be a mix of the cutscene part for the story and game play. So i need to create the character now so we can start animating as soon as possible.

So why are we creating a new trailer? Well, the first one isn’t good and use a lot of old assets and as we want to bring in the story into the game we need to test how we put in the cinematic animations into the game engine. So we thought we can use that to make a new trailer that can show what the game is about and how it looks right now. Even tho much will change until the final release it will help us to see what our audience think about it and hopefully get some feedback.

I will also work on the design of the webpage, make it as user friendly as possible and easy to navigate. What i will be thinking about the most is to make it as little clicks as possible to get where you want to be. Whether you want to watch art work or the story it will only be a few clicks away. We will also put some questions up on the site that we hope you take your time to answer. It will mostly be a one click answer to make it as easy as possible for those that visit.
