BGP: Refracted Fate – The End
|
Hi everyone! This will be my last blog post (at least for now) on Refracted Fate! Tomorrow we will be showcasing our game at Gotland Game Conference(GGC) so we have been fixing a lot of trivial things towards it (and still kind of are!) I must say the production of the game have been a lot of fun and I have learned everything from creating physics based pickup system to using streaming level to avoid level loading. I’m not sure what I want to write about in this last post, so I will dedicate it to thanks everyone who have followed the progress of the game, if you are attending GGC be sure to come by and say Hello and test our game!
The progress of creating a vertical slice of a game from start to finish is a lot of work, seeing as we were a very small group we often had to crunch some extra to make the deadlines and get the quality and final production we wanted. However, I’m very proud of my team and coworkers as I do believe we have bene able to get a quite nice final product after all this weeks of works. Also seeing the design change from start to finish has been fun, tracking players and making change to get a better flow has been both hard and fun at the same time, as I gained a lot of insight and experience in changing layout and design based on feedback. So, I also want to give a big Thank You to everyone who tested our game and gave us great feedback! Thank you very much!
Finally, if you haven’t seen it yet, out trailers up at Campus Gotland Game YouTube channel, so be sure to check it out! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gnYjVaQvnuI And last, a big thank you to everyone who have read and followed my previous blog posts, if you still have anything you are really interested about knowing be sure to leave a comment and I can maybe write another one explaining it! Thanks, and good bye! |
