Anatomy
|
This week we worked with anatomy, something I haven’t done much of. We started with a lecture about how the muscles moved and what directions they were depending on what kind of movement they did. We then got into groups of 4 and discussed each other’s previous work on it. All I had was this. What they liked about it was the hands, that I had done those well because they are hard to do. The rest was ok but need more work wich i totally agree with, i lack in the anatomy section. I was glad they liked that hands, i worked a lot to get them done but i still think they need more work too. This picture only show how i structerd the hand so here is another one. In this i think i managed to destroy the hand, i made the fingers like sausages and too thick. I dont like the feet i did so i will need to work more on those aswell. Well i need to work more on everything if im honest. The arms need more work especially with the shoulder, so you can se it’s outline better and that is actually have a form and not just look like it’s slimmly atatched to the arms. And im really bad with faces so i need to work with that too when it comes to drawing. We then had an exercise drawing the muscles on classical art pieces. I drew on this one. I focused mostly on arms and legs trying to get it right there as I found then the most complex. I think i was able to do an allright job on this one when it comes to the arms and legs, but on the parts where i worked a little on the torso i think i would have needed more time worked on them. I really lack in most of the anatomy and need to learn more about it to get better at 3D modeling. My plan is to read books on it and material on the internet. And do more exercises like this where I train to draw it on other art. And I think I should try the rest of the body next. And especially hands, hand are hard. So i will have to look up more on anatomy and do drawings, i should probably also do some sculpting to get a better feel of it. What i could do when i get some time over is to attend an anatamoy class or the lifedrawing course here at school. So my plan should be to read and practise drawing when i have time over, then when the life drawing class start i attend that and do more on anatomy and poses and sculpting. And do work on the face and it’s muscles how they work, the face is tricky and it would come in handy if i will make a face rig sometime. Then i could go to an anatomy class where they go into more depth about how the muscles work and what they do for the bodys movement. |
