BGP – Day 24
AnimationEnding the 4th week I spent the day with starting the final work on the animations, we had some troubles adding a bone to the characters rig and then merging that with the current Motionbuilder file. So instead of delaying my work any further I chose to start over, importing the character and all the takes. I also cleaned the last more ”Cinematic” motion capture data we recorded. So now they are all in Motionbuilder. Another problem managed to occur, where we had trouble with the characters skeleton and with some help from our lead artist we corrected it by applying/moving some bones to their correct place. It seems that Motionbuilder gets confused when you add extra bone to the hand. Other than that it was just a process of applying the takes, changing their frames per second (FPS), adding their total amount of frames (which Motionbuilder decides to change to 120 as a default on all of them) and then adding a camera for the true first person view. Since I have restarted, there is nothing really new to show, I will therefore refrain from posting any videos/pictures until next week. See you then! |
