BGP – Day 13
Better late than never!Well, its not a motto of mine, but last night I didn’t do my daily post. It wasn’t because I haven’t worked, rather the opposite. Since I have dwelled into a lot of subjects that I have never explored before, It can be very tiresome for the mind to try to remember all that new information. I decided to relax for the rest of the evening and prepare for the next day, as me and my girlfriend is going to visit my family and friends over the weekend. Therefor the workload won’t be as heavy, but I will still try to work whenever I can! Here is what happened yesterday: In the video you can see the same arm that I have worked on before, using some simple scripting, mixing the knowledge from several tutorials and some discussing with our programmers I finally got the arm to change material into this glowing burning texture. The Important part is that it doesn’t change by itself, but instead it is triggered (currently by an invisible box). But this trigger will later be changed to when a player touches a fire with the cursed hand, it will slowly change material. All the textures are currently placeholders and Is set to change, the important part is to get the functions in there. That is all, but even tough it might sound like a small achievement, a lot of tinkering and work went into it and will be important to give the immersion the game will require to capture the players interest for the game.
