Hey Daniel!
while reading this post i realized that I related to almost everything you said. As a designer aswell it took me a while step up and talk to my team about things i disliked or that we did not go in the right direction. I don´t take up much room when it comes to discussing things, I´m more of a “go with the flow” type.
But we need to take up more space, and it´s great that you reflected on that, because it is, as you said, a learning process.

The post is very easy to follow and well written, and you explain what you have done and what went wrong in the long run. It´s also very clear how you designed the level, which also have had some flaws, but you had the solution of having more playtesters, and even have your team test it out.

Overall It seems like you learned a lot during this period, and that is great. Now you have more in you backpack to carry on to the next course.
