That being said, it is only natural that the game gets easier every time you play it (we had the same issue), which in return then often ends up as the Darksouls of shoot’em up games for people that have rarely or never played it before. In my opinion, you rightfully conclude that reaching out to more people and also to the rest of your team may have been a good opportunity to prevent that from happening. All in all, I value this blog entry due to its impressive conciseness and the unique insight from the perspective of a designer. While it is sad to hear that your alpha and beta playtest haven’t worked out the way you and your team hoped, I nonetheless wish you a successful last weak! //Alex Sinn |
