I am oskar Karlsson lead programmer in the group Archon and we are working on the game Aetherial made by the group Zombie. During this weeks we in the group have been using scrum and it have helped our group a lot. And when you are using scrum in a group you are supposed to have daily stand up meetings. And have scrum meetings where you are planning the scrum board.

We in the group Archon have a project manager that takes care of the scrum meetings and the daily meetings. We start of the week on Monday to have a sprint planning meeting that takes around 1 hour and during this meeting we in the group brakes down the user’s stories in to assets. I have hade around 15hour of work planed each week and we also estimate the risk of doing each of the items in the sprint log.

And during the daily stand up meetings we meet up in the same place each day 12 clock. And then our program manager starts to ask each person in the group the 3 questions, What have you completer since the last meeting? What do you plan to complete by the next meeting? And What is getting in your way? These meetings only take around 2-3min per person.

And in the end of the week during Friday we have a sprint review meeting where we go through all the items that was completed or if they need to be put in the next weeks sprint. And here we write down how much time each of the items took and if it has been implemented and tested.

The reason we are using scrum is because it is required in the course and because it is good to use when a team of designers are working together on a project. It makes it easy to keep track of all the thinks everyone is working on and it helps the group to work together better.

It has been good to use scrum during our group project. I made us work more effective and we always have something to work on. And the standup meetings have been the best because all members in the group meet up and can talk about the project and discus problems if there are any.
