humm,summ,Scrum…

From my perspective, Scrum is basically a detailed schedule which you have to set up before doing anything. It acts as a third person in between people in groups letting them keep track of everything from what has already been done to what needs to be done.

Having a scrum for different works such as designing a game is really useful, at least I’m finding it like that way. Good thing my project manager is a really handy guy who does all of this because I tend to ignore these sort of stuff if not being cornered(just kidding). Anyway, keeping track of what we have done in the past, which things need prioritized attention, which has been done but not satisfied enough, how much time was spent after which work and reviews after every work is roughly what a scrum does.

As a person who works best under pressure, I can say our scrum document and meetings made it easy for me. Our group is a small one so all four members divided all four sections in between ourselves, so we knew right away which one is for whom as our project manager took his time to manage the whole scrum document and labeling it with individual predetermined color codes. Having all the main priorities piled up together finishing them first before the alpha presentation is what made it possible for us to actually be able to present something. The small sprint plans and having stand-up meetings every day were also very helpful as it kept pushing me from the inside to do at least some part of works so that in the next meeting, I would have something to present.

The record and review history that it keeps also comes in handy at times of looking back to previous works at the end of the week. With that, it was easy for me to determine which parts require more work and which parts are getting over attention.

In the end, I would say the best part of this scrum plan is the feeling of accomplishment that I get after every week when its time for the review sessions. It boosts me for getting ready for the next works in line hoping to bring out a good and enjoyable game within the deadline.

Thank you for reading this. Hope you have a good day…(don’t forget to put some good and cheesy comments below ;))
