Working on the Alpha presentation. Post 1
|
I decided to work on the Alpha presentation this week since the deadline for it is next week. I chose to work on this because as the project manager I don’t feel that I have a lot to contribute the group in terms of actually creating the game. After going over the instructions I began thinking of what the best way would be for preparing the group for the presentation. I am currently working on what to say during the presentation, and it is going fine. The instructions for the presentation state that teams will be randomly chosen to present, I thought about just randomly ambushing each of the members of the group and yelling at them to present their part of it on the spot. Sadly this is not a practical idea, mostly because I do not feel like stalking all of them individually. It seems like it would be a lot of effort and slightly illegal. Since it is important that the Alpha presentation goes well I have been thinking about what we shall include in it. Since we all have different schedules setting up meetings outside of our scrum meetings are a bit difficult. So instead I have decided to just combine the scrum planning with the Alpha planning (even though these are basically the same). We will discuss the parts of our game that we are satisfied with, and the parts that think could have gone better. I’m not sure if we will have to present in front of the whole program or if the instructors are just going to go around and look at them individually. Depending on how this is going to be presented, there could be problems. I’m a quiet person so public speaking is not one of my strong suits. So in order to prepare for the possibility of having to give a presentation in front of a crowd, I have been researching on how to become a sheepherder in Iceland. As you can see from the photo I do not have a lot of things to do during this time. If you can’t tell I have no idea how to write a blog post. Mija Causey
