Fast Gear – Week 4
Up until this point and probably for a couple of more weeks my focus have been on doing the AI(Artificial Intelligence) for our game. The AI is not that complicated as of right now. It has a road which it follows using A* which an algorithm for calculating the fastest way to the goal. Tredej veckan av utvecklingen, The Summoning
När implementeringen av en tredje kamera som åskådare ska använda sig av vid uppvisning av spelet på Gotland Game Conferans / GGC.
Behövdes ordningen på kamerorna ändras även om man stängde av åskådare kameran så blev den huvud kameran man kolla ifrån.
Så det blev min första arbetas uppgift att ändar på den så att demonens kamera vissas i skärmen när båda spelarna har joinat matchen för demonen och mänskans kamera för den.

Design Thoughts: Playtesting Thoughts
Was at a playtesting event for projects today and it was amazing seeing how good people are at making games.
First year students making 3d Mech combat games, communication games where you have to navigate a smuggler ship together through mazes, a frog that inflates and deflates itself and just many, many more things.
Second years doing innovative racing and turn based strategy games, games about digging out people from bomb debris as well as a game where you have to solve […]

Halfway through BGP
We have finally gotten the server to work for everyone, this means we can start to implement our work into one collective project. Other than that I’ve looked into implementing the animations and working together with one of our programmers/Lead sound. We had some issues with having the character to stay in place when walking as we changed it in unreal. Since it didn’t work we instead choose to change this in the animation program, which worked fine. […]

Getting started..
Week three in an eight week production is coming to and end. These weeks have been productive yet scary in a way, since it is very hard to tell if you are on the right track both with the game as a whole and with your time schedule.
My role in this new Amenti Game is primarily two things. I am the lead designer, which means planning the mechanics of the game, the feeling of the ”fun” of the game is on me. […]

The human player class
Our game ”The Summoning” are an asymetric game where two players are battling eachother. One of the players plays as the Demon Lord whom is trying to kill the Human with an army of minions. The Human player has to stay alive while keep going forward to the Demon Lords’ castle/lair (work is still in progress on this area) and summon the Demon Lord. When summoned the Demon Lord is risking to die by the Humans’ hands.

BGP – Day 18
A day of unclean… animation A day of unclean… animation
So today I got all the animations into the animation program and dusted them of just enough so that they can be imported to the engine as soon as possible. Also a lot of my time was spent on trying to connect my computer to our server/unreal project. Which is where our whole project will be accessed and worked through. Above you can see the character come alive. That was all, take care!
