Spark: The 11 Day Game Jam
|
GGC (Gotland Game Conference) kicked off today, or rather yesterday, since the clock has passed midnight quite a few hours ago. Somehow me & my group pulled off getting our game done in time with as little bugs as possible to get it onto the show floor, and get an astounding amount of good reviews, and people wanting to see more. We not only made a vertical slice of a game in 11 days, but an entertaining game to boot. I won’t go into too many details, as I’m exhausted from the wild ride that has been the last couple of weeks, and today at GGC. But in summary, our new game is Spark, a combat platformer which could be explained as “wandering through a depressed person’s mind”. That doesn’t explain a tiddlywink of the gameplay, but I’ll go further into those areas later. A.K.A. once GGC is over, because time? What’s that? Anyhow, I’ve mainly designed & produced animations for the player avatar, so here’s some gifs of a few things I did last week. I’ll post more and ramble on about the game in future posts, so see you folks then! Small squares, left to right: Idle, Jump, Walk, Light Attack animations |
