WEEK #4 – BIG GAME PROJECT – ALPHA

Hey guys! So this week has been crazy intense. We had our alpha presentation, which a jury played and gave feedback on. I was so nervous but we did alright. We crunched and stayed in school until midnight, twice to make the alpha as good as possible. So what have I been doing this week? Environment-wise I haven’t done that much, I modelled a prisoner pod which the guards uses to transfer the caught prisoners back to their cell. My role this week hasn’t been about environment art, I have been working with other stuff. I finished our official logo for the game, which I will present below. I have been working with our pitch presentation as well. I helped our game designer with guard pathing aswell, which I will show a picture of below. Here are some ingame footage of our alpha build

I worked with our game designer in designing how the guards should path in the level. This is an image of how they are moving, each colored line defines one guard. Currently we have 6 guards in the level.
As I am the producer of this team, it is my resposibility to oversee everything around the production of the game. Currently I am in the process of creating a company which we can publish the game under, and go into business officially. I will keep you guys updated! For now, we are recharging our batteries for the upcoming week. In two weeks time we have our beta deadline. We have so much we want to implement, and so many ideas on how to push this game further to something even better. Stay tuned for more, I will talk to you next week!
