BGP – Week 3
|
This week we have been focusing mainly on getting our coor loop to be playable (in a prototypy way). The core loop consists of going down to the surface, gathering some stuff like wood, stone and food, going back up and building and upgrading your villagers… I hope I got that right… Well anyway, this week I’ve been doing some various tasks. Below you can see our settlers wearing some armor and backpacks. When you are about to go down to the jungle you get to choose what each settler should be good at. If you choose the armor pieces, your settler will be able to take more damage. The light backpack with a cross on it allows your settler to heal other settlers and the brown backback gives your settler bigger pockets, letting them carry more stuff. You can only choose one of these for each settler though, unlike the picture below. These will have to be iterated on though, because it turned out they weren’t that visible from the players perspective, top down that is. So they will have to be a bit more exaggerated.
These are some other stuff I have been doing this week. There are some trees that will be used to fill out the dense jungle patches, there is a buildsite which will turn into a house when a settler has spent enough time working on it, and there is a pallet with some crates on it that goes in the elevator.
This was all for this weeks blog. |
