Second and third week of BGP

These last couple of weeks has been all about developing assets for our game Tale. Our focal point has been on creating some of the puzzle parts, so that we can build our first prototype of the game. So far my main area of responsibility has been to create 3D assets for the environment in the game. The meshes that i have created are not yet of much detail, this is because we only want a sketch of the map.

We are going to build the map based on a modular environment method. This method is about creating many small parts for the environment rather than creating big pieces of it. These parts are then assembled in the engine, creating the intended design.

 

I have also worked on music for the game. The main soundtrack is almost done as well as the battle music. The biggest challenge for me in this is to make all the songs fit within a common theme. Of course they the sensation must be different but they must also be unison it their representation.

The following week we will able to assemble our first prototype. It will be very interesting to see how our game has developed so far.
