3D times ahead

Hello everyone!

As you may have noticed by the lack of content lately I have been pretty occupied. We are  currently doing our 3D3 classes and time is not something we have a lot of, especially after being sick. Our current project is to create a 3D character in a group of three. We made a character package like the one we did back in 3D1. Let me introduce Admiral Edward Julius Hemsworth!

Appearance: Little old man with a pear shaped body. Nicely dressed in admiral clothing accompanied by a very nice female robot leg prosthetic. He is a dazzling 150cm tall (without hat)

Symbol: The symbol he lives and serves is the Old Navy Seal

Pronunciation: Ed-ward (ĕd′wərd), Julius (ˈdʒuːlɪəs) , Hems-worth (h EH m s – w er th)

Name origin: British Isles

Name meaning: Nothing special really, his parents just liked the posh sound of it.

Mr Edward Julius Hemsworth and crew

He is an old navy captain. Even though his government fell several years ago he still sees to his job. It is his life. He has a loyal crew that will follow him anywhere. They let him do his thing and always follow orders out of an old habit, or at least pretend to. The old geezer has gotten a bit confused lately so the crew are the ones that really rule the ship and keeps them alive, but will never let the captain know about that. They have their business on the side and occasionally loot deserted places or enemies they find. They are neither good or bad, they just survive and do what they find best. Though they would never harm an innocent being.
Edward and his crew sails the sky and stops any brawl that they come across. Edward thinks of himself as in the former glorious man he used to be. It seems to have passed him by how much older he has gotten and how his shape has.. well, become an old people type of shape. To him the appearance is very important as in honourable and he strongly believes in the “manly man” ways.

We now started to construct him in 3D and hope that we can get him really handsome looking in the end.

Even though this is really fun I miss doing 2D so I took on the task of doing his textures. Last time I got to paint some I tried to work with colours and getting highlights in the hair and such. Wish me luck and may our programs never crash! Until next time.
