3D Challenge – Day 1 & 2
|
Hi! I feel it is time to introduce myself. My name is Thom Hujanen and I have just finished my first year of my Bachelor’s degree in Game Design and Graphics at Uppsala University – Campus Gotland in Sweden. So, I am learning game design and everything about graphics in games. I am not sure what my end goal with this education is. But I am going to find it out while I am here. However, I am really interested in 3D modeling so I will try it out and see how it goes. I will start taking 3D courses when the next school year begins in September. But to prepare myself, I have started to follow tutorials at Digital Tutors. I will try to create something everyday and upload it here on my blog to document my process. Hopefully these blog posts can be used as an portfolio someday. I will use the software Autodesk 3Ds Max 2015 and Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 on Microsoft Windows 8.1 during this “challenge”. If needed, I will use a Wacom Intous Pro Medium drawing tablet. Otherwise, I will just use a regular computer mouse. All blog posts regarding this “challenge” will be tagged “3D Challenge” and “Make Something Every Day”. That is all, I guess! Let the 3D Challenge of summer 2015 begin! I started learning 3Ds Max yesterday. These are the results from then and today: Day 1:
I have learned how to use the interface in 3Ds Max, and learned about primitives. So I created this… thing! Day 2:
I have learned how to move and transform objects in different ways. So I thought I would be fun to keep working on the same thing as yesterday. Perhaps I will keep working on it everyday to see what I am learning everyday. |
