Incoming dump of posts for babel

Because of a tagging fluke on my behalf most of my blog posts from earlier weeks should be appearing on babel tonight. If babel doesn’t work like that i will just have to make a post linking to all those posts.

Today was a good start to what will hopefully be a productive week. I was in school before 9AM unlike most days last week and i was shown a tutorial on how to set up a basic application using winsock.

Today i have pretty much been writing the code in the section about creating a basic winsock application. In a way i’m glad i didn’t find this earlier. Being able to read about the different functions in the other tutorial but not managing to implement them gave me a better understanding of how the application works and what the individual parts does than if i had just used the Microsoft tutorial.
As of right now i need to find out what each individual part of the program i now have does and figure out how to use it to transmit a http page to several clients; then handle the specific other requirements of the assignment.

Tomorrow we will meet and discuss the part 3 assignment during the morning in order to plan the part 3 assignment. We are all behind in our part 2 assignment for different reasons and i’m worried it will impede our work on the part 3 assignment. Ideally i will be able to finish the part 2 assignment before Friday, fix the part 1 assignment and then fully focus on the part 3 assignment from that on. Sadly, I will probably be done with neither and be forced to split my attention between two parts at the time.

I understand why this course used to be two separate ones. I didn’t exactly get an early start but i feel like everything have been pushed together into so short of a time that by the time we learn how to do one assignment in the lectures and have started working on them, the lectures are already about the next assignment.
