Assignment 1 – Space Invaders analysis

 Objects/Properties/behaviors:

  • Bullets – position, speed, colour, graphic, not/active, damage, hitbox, sound Fx. Moving in a forward direction (upwards) from the spawned location and destroying object of collision (will dissapear if not). 
  • Player Craft – Graphic, location, speed, hitbox, player controlled, HP, 1 bullet on screen. Moves from side to side inside of the screen and spawns bullets when fire button are pressed by player. 
  • Enemy #1 – Graphic, location, speed, hitbox, HP, Several bullets on screen, points. Moves around on the screen simultaneously with other aliens and spawns bullets at given location. 
  • Enemy #1 bullets – Position, speed, colour, graphic, not/active, damage, hitbox, sound Fx, do not hurt other space invaders. Spawns at the enemy aliens given location and travels forward (downwards) and destroys the object it hits. Will not hurt other space invaders.
  • Enemy #2 –  Graphic, location, speed, hitbox, HP, Several bullets on screen, points. Moves around on the screen simultaneously with other aliens and spawns bullets at given location.
  • Enemy #2 bullets – Position, speed, colour, graphic, not/active, damage, hitbox, sound Fx, do not hurt other space invaders. Spawns at the enemy aliens given location and travels forward (downwards) and destroys the object it hits. Will not hurt other space invaders.
  • UFO – Graphic, location, speed, hitbox, HP, points, colour. Moves sideways across the screen and gives out a large number of points if destroyed. 
  • Enemy #3 – Graphic, location, speed, hitbox, HP, Several bullets on screen, points. Moves around on the screen simultaneously with other aliens and spawns bullets at given location.
  • Enemy #3 bullets – Position, speed, colour, graphic, not/active, damage, hitbox, sound Fx, do not hurt other space invaders. Spawns at the enemy aliens given location and travels forward (downwards) and destroys the object it hits. Will not hurt other space invaders.
  • Score – Graphic, location, increases exponentially. Increases by the number the destroyes alien invader gives and adds them to a score count.
  • HI-score – Graphic, location, latest highest score. Shows the latest higest score the player reached. Will be replaced if a heigher score is reached.
  • Lifes – Graphic, location, colour, decreases exponentially. Decreases by one if the player craft is destroyed. Player craft have 3 lifes. 
  • Credist – Graphic, location. Shows the number of credits the player have put into machine. 
  • Screen – Graphic. Contains the battle field of the player craft and the alien invaders in a space environment.
  • Shieldpats – Graphic, location, colour, hitbox. Parts/blocks of shields that protect the player from enemy bullets and destroys if a bullet makes contact.
