Now that I’m back home with a reliable internet I actually find my efficency dropping with my access to the internet. Either way, I’ve got some work done today, mostly about the new enemy tyoes that are part of the level design. These enemies are more or less boss-like enemies that are supposed to be able take more damage and have more advanced pattern. the first one is called the Eye and will follow the player around and fire bullets in all directions every now and then. The second one is called the Heart and will move slowly from top to bottom while firing several bullets towards the player at once. WHile I am at it I might as well add info on the standard enemies. The first normal one is called the Smiley and will move in from above and fire about eight shots in the players direction before diseappearing. The second normal enemy is called the Arrow Ship and will simply move from one side to the other while firing bullet sin a specific direction. I have a main idea about how the level design is going to be and with the Level Manager I am able to fully customize the placement and timing of enemies as I please. Obviously the plan is to have the game start out easy and then get harder as it goes on (like pretty much every single game in existance except maybe Kid Icarus for the NES, then again nobody’s ever played that game). Overall the game should take about three to five minutes to play through, which I should have no trouble achieving. |
