First Year: Done!

Participating in this game design course at Campus Gotland, University of Uppsala, made me evolve artistically and as a designer. I had come to realize a lot of things, gained experience in new areas, and finally but not least: Taking up drawing again. And this Blog will be the proof for me to recognize my own development. Three projects where made: 1- Project minetrain: This was to learn how to build and create game concepts, design documents and how to pitch our idea. 2- Plans of Futura: Here we got to choose which of the concepts we wanted to develop a game from, made by our peers. This was to learn how to create a game. 3- Flash & Crash: We were finally allowed to choose our own team members to create a Theme Park based game with innovative inputs. The game was to be presented at Gotland Game Conference and we would be awarded or nominated. (For more detailed info about the projects, just go read through the posts)
The year has been tough, we struggled a lot, but i have come to love this developing business. I will try to post weekly this summer vacation, it will be mostly 2D art with me trying to get better, and of course analyzing my results and why it became bad. I would also like to thank people who started following me from all around the world, i wasn’t ready for it to happen (My mind was only set to follow my own development). This made me want to make this post and my English readable. So thank you for the support 😀 |
