Big Game Project (week9)

The course ’’Big Game Project’’ has now passed and our game Tower Offensive was displayed at Gotland Game Conference last week. During three days people were allowed to play our game among with many other games created by other students at Uppsala University Campus Gotland.

It was extremely fun to see so many people playing and enjoying our game, we also received much valuable feedback which we can use to improve our game in the future.

I didn’t have too big expectations for GGC but I knew our game was good and I felt proud of being a part of it, but I could never imagine that we would win three awards at Gotland Game Conference.

Here are the three awards we received:

Best Presentation: This award is for the great presentation our producer held to pitch our game but also for all the artwork made to represent it.

Ca-Ching Award: This award symbolizes the game with the greatest potential out in the market.

The Almedalen Award: Almedalen is the city library which is neighbor to our school, with this award we are allowed to put our game in the library for everyone to play.

Once GGC was over we had a meeting with everyone in the group. We decided that we will continue to work on the game during the summer and forward to make the best of it. Our focus will be to release the game for tablets and phones since we gained positive feedback from that we displayed our game on tablets during GGC.
