Itterations and the FPB
|
As all models that was planned for the game was done, this week consisted of making iterations of these models. Mainly the bear. For the bear model it was almost all about optimizing the mesh and giving it a good edge flow so that it would not look weird when animating. It had already been implemented and the animations looked fine, but the mesh had a few errors that would be easiest to solve by creating a better edge flow. Somewhere in the middle of the week we realized that our original plan of having the player camera inside the bear model did not work. We had originally planned to create some kind of first person contraption but had decided against it earlier as we though we could make it work any ways. As it came up again i had to start researching about how this could be made but came up with little more knowledge. I ended up giving it a shot of just improvising and it seemed to work (I simply took the front legs of the bear and kept the animation rig). And as it is a first person rig for a game where you play as a bear it came to be called the FPB rig, the first person bear rig. The first version of the FPB |
