Barely any coding this week :/

Well guess what, I won’t write about a single artifact this time either because since the engine was finished nothing have taken enough time simply being complex enough to write 400 words about it really…

No one in our group is motivated enough to work on this game anymore so we decided that our goal is to finish our game this week and leave the two remaining weeks for the reports. So this resulted in a bunch of smaller things that needed to be done and many of them were graphical work. So I’ve mostly graphics and stuff for our game this week with some coding on the side.

Well first off, I added all the sprites for the different combinations of suits and weapons that you can equip, there isn’t really that much to say about this, it was done within an hour, so let’s move on.

Up until a few days ago everything in the customization-state were placeholders and since many of the graphical-artists had other things to do and one of them have started to refuse to work me I created the graphics for that based on Seamus Newmans sprites that we use for the buttons.

One thing that was a bit annoying was when I created the border for the customization-screen, I created a pattern and then before I applied it to the whole thing I asked our designer of it looked too Greek, and he said nope. And the when I was finally finished he changed his mind and said it did look way to Greek and that the lines had to be much more squiggly, so I had to remake it.

There were also some empty spaces on the customization-screen because of the fact that we removed the trinkets from our game. So I created a emblem inspired by those Indian Circle-emblems (I have no Idea what they are, just find a bunch of google). The two requirements that I set for myself was that is was supposed to contain a flower and not too much detail (the space for it was kind of small so if it was too detailed it would look way to messy).

Then we needed a logo too, after a few unsuccessful tries of making something that I liked I decided top just take the emblem I made before, put some text in front of it, add some small details, and change the color or it. I’m actually satisfied with the result, and it our lead artist approved it.

Aaaand here is the logo:

Well that’s it, sorry that I didn’t write anything about code, As I said I have coded very little this week and the things I’ve coded haven’t been very interesting at all.
