I have a lot of work ahead of me but today was a good day. Most importantly i now have a theme park group. I put up a LFG on the facebook group and within five minutes i had someone asking me to join their group. It’s a pretty new group so they didn’t seem to have a clear idea other than something with the brainwave scanner. I figured it might be interesting and since i had nowhere else to go i joined in at once. we’ll be getting together for a discussion eventually. Workwise i got a lot of small things smoothed up, the doors now opens and closes properly. If the player walks up to it when it’s closing it will reopen again, preventing the player from being squashed in the door. if the door is fully closed however the player will have to press a interract button in order to open the door. Second thing i did was to make sure the couches in the level had their correct sprites properly added depending on which side of the wall they are and if it is the left or right side of the couch. Relevant to this is that the couches are based on two 60X64 objects next to eachother. Added a few extra collision checks for a few extra objects. I added a timer for checking how long the player had been hiding or not hiding to allow for hiding and unhiding with the same button. Something that’s been on the to do list for a long time and in the GDD for even longer. Two minor things i also did was to make sure the player was rotated properly when hidden, and removed the “Options” button form the main menu since it was cut. The final other thing i did today was to discuss the tutorial text layout with Ash fow how the player is going to learn how to play. All in all a good day. |
