Everything went better than expected

This weekend was annoying, not being able to contact Oliver or Leo most of the time really bottlenecked my work and i didn’t get nearly everything i wanted done. During the weekend i worked on getting the right sprites into the game, making the hiding function working again and i also made the guards return to their initial position(almost) when losing sight of the player. During the Sunday evening Leo placed out objects and guards in order to make a level.(for some reason he only put them on the top left third of the screen.) Today Leonard was sick and Oliver was unavailable so i was the only programmer available, i still got relatively much work done before lunch, I managed to fix a bug with the hiding function that occurred if there were more than one object the player could hide in on the screen, turns out the getrangetoobject() function did not work the way i thought, instead i wrote in the distance manually and it worked perfectly. I also wrote down a planning for the other programmers since they weren’t around to do it for themselves. During the game testing session in the afternoon i also did a few tweaks to the game, for example, i swapped place of the player and the exit since people were having problem seeing their character. Overall i think the testing session went well and we got a lot of useful input on our game. Image included is how the test version looked by the end of the day. After the testing session i also got around to write that comment on another blog post. Not much other than that. |
