Character concept – ”Lt. Michael ‘Lynch’ Casey”

One of the thumbnails, improved and turned into a real character; ”Lt. Michael ‘Lynch’ Casey”.

Some character background:

During World War I, Lt. Michael Casey volunteered to join the ‘Entente’ against the ‘Central Powers’ in western Europe.
As an experience fighter-pilot (having survived more than three training-exercises) he was paired with the renowned Royal Air Force officer Roy Brown, as one of his wingmen. During a particularly fierce fight, on the morning of 21 April, 1918, Michael managed to do something everybody in the RAF had been attempting to for the last three years; End the ‘Red Baron’s reign over the skies. But his victory was short-lived; leaking fuel and with only half of his right-wing remaining he plummeted towards the river beneath him.
The plane crash severed his right arm at the elbow.
With Michael unconscious and the plane rapidly sinking, he was sure to die.
But the god Tyr did not see this as a death fitting for him. So Tyr put Michael in another plane of existence, one where time moved in another pace, one where Michael could heal without the fear of aging or dying from infections.
For his valiant effort during the war, Tyr granted him a gift: A magical-powered arm cannon, to replace his lost limb, to deal out justice with wherever it was needed.
The one problem with this was the fact that all the time spent on healing his wounds had made Michael insane. If he had been a daredevil before; His recklessness had multiplied tenfold. He did no longer care for other people, only to fight the next, big, enemy; and if he were to die in the process, so be it.
